Few days ago, My sis and i went to Bazaar Ramadhan at Town Square, Sibu. We went there around 4-5pm. So we parked our car far away from the bazaar to avoid that crazy traffic jam. From far we can see "sea of people" direct translation "lautan manusia". No kidding. So reluctantly i had to join the crowd to accompany my sister who was so excited about it.
So we started from the first booth. Both of us were looking for our target dishes which are Umai, Cheese Cake and Sotong Bakar. We went to every single booth and finally we found those items. So before we left my sister wanted to buy drinks. At first i say "NO" because i know it's hard to find the "clean" drinks because i've seen they "dragged" those ice cubes on the road. But my sister insisted to buy it. So she brought "air jagung.
But while waiting for our turn to buy the drink, something captured my attention. A conversation between a daughter and his father. I translated it from Iban - English.
Dad: I have only have RM1 left. So do you want to buy the drinks? Air jagung/bandung?
Girl: Daddy, i want the pink colour one. (air bandung)
Dad: Ok, then. "Ambik satu air bandung" he told the seller.
Seller: Ok. One only?
Dad: Yes.
Seller. Here you go. It's RM1.50.
Dad: RM1.50? Wait a minute.
*He started to search in his pocket and shirts. Again and again. Then slowly he talked to his daughter.*
Dad: I don't have any money left dear.
*His daughter just keep quiet. She looked at the seller then to his father twice. I can saw some drops of tears rolling on her cheeks*
Girl: No need dad. We don't enough money to buy it. Just keep the money. I don't want that "air bandung" anymore.
*She quickly grabbed his father hands and walked away from the stall*
*His father said 'SORRY"' several times to the seller before he followed her daughter*
I was there, standing still and yet i could not spare any hands to help them. Even though i didn't bring along my wallet but i could still asked money from my sister to help them, but i didn't. Shame on me. I'm felt really sorry for them. How i wish i could act fast and help them to buy that drink.
Dalam hidup ini bukan semua orang dilahirkan hidup senang. Ada yang sangat susah sampaikan membeli benda basic pun sik mampu. Jangan memandang rendah dengan sidak nya but instead tolong cdak. Ada certain orang kaya siap kutuk agik. Tsk tsk tsk .. I believe in KARMA. Apa yang ktk org polah jaik ngan orang akan datang balit kemudian hari.

Moral of the story, always be grateful and thankful of what you have today. This world is not just only about you. Take responsibility to consider other people feelings. Enough of that kind of mentality.
P/s: My mum once said: "Enti urang nadai duit, sigi nadai duit amat iya. Anang mejal iya agik. Kasih ke urang nya. Asai ke kedirik empu nadai duit."
*Kalo orang memang tidak mampu jangan dipaksa lagi. Kasihani la orang itu. Ingatla time ko susah takde duit. Begitula rasanya mereka. *
